Displays a single image spanning the globe. By default, BackgroundLayer is configured to display NASA's Blue Marble next generation image at 40km resolution from the worldwind-assets library resource res/drawable/worldwind_worldtopobathy2004053.
Displays a composite of NASA's Blue Marble next generation imagery at 500m resolution and Landsat imagery at 15m resolution from an OGC Web Map Service (WMS). By default, BlueMarbleLandsatLayer is configured to retrieve imagery from the WMS at &https://worldwind25.arc.nasa.gov/wms.
Displays NASA's Blue Marble next generation imagery at 500m resolution from an OGC Web Map Service (WMS). By default, BlueMarbleLayer is configured to retrieve imagery for May 2004 from the WMS at &https://worldwind25.arc.nasa.gov/wms.
Information on NASA's Blue Marble next generation imagery can be found at http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/BlueMarble/
Vector-feature layer driven by a BulkFeatureSource. The source delivers (geometry, properties_json) rows from one of:
Turns a CachedFeatureRow ((geometry, properties_json)) into styled Renderables, with the same rules BulkFeatureLayer used inline. Shared so BulkFeatureLayer (bulk/viewport) and TiledFeatureLayer (tiled) build renderables identically — Point → Label/Placemark, LineString → Path, Polygon → Polygon, and Multi/GeometryCollection geometries fan out.
Displays Landsat imagery at 15m resolution from an OGC Web Map Service (WMS). By default, LandsatLayer is configured to retrieve imagery from the WMS at &https://worldwind25.arc.nasa.gov/wms.
Tiled vector-feature layer over a TiledFeatureSource. Each viewport fetches only the tiles it needs (per-tile BBOX GetFeature), caches them, and renders the features via FeatureRenderer (Point → Label/Placemark, LineString → Path, Polygon → Polygon, Multi/GeometryCollection fan out). The cache-through counterpart to BulkFeatureLayer: wrap the source in earth.worldwind.layer.cache.CachedTiledFeatureSource so memory AND network stay bounded.
Reusable base for tiled vector layers (WFS features, MVT vector tiles, OSM buildings). Owns the parts every such layer shares so they aren't reimplemented per layer:
Common interface for layers that render vector data (lines, polygons, points, labels) rather than rasterized image tiles. Implemented by:
Shared machinery for layers that re-fetch their renderables for the current viewport during render — used by earth.worldwind.ogc.wfs.WfsLayer (network) and BulkFeatureLayer (cache). Encapsulates the subtle parts: padded-sector hysteresis, debounce, the optimistic-sector + cancellation ordering, and the off-thread-build / render-thread-swap handoff.
